About Sibiu
Sibiu is a charming little city, one of the most important cultural centers of Romania. In 2007, Sibiu was designated the European Capital of Culture, along with the city of Luxembourg and since then it hosts a lot of events throughout the year. Michelin Travel Guide awarded Sibiu a quotation of three stars (Green Guide Stars), the maximum quotation and the highest awarded to a city in Romania and states: this Baroque city of colorful façades nicknamed “Little Vienna” is surely Romania’s most beautiful. Forbes magazine ranks Sibiu on the 8th place of the list containing “the most idyllic places to visit” and The Huffington Post included Sibiu in the list containing “The most charming cities in Europe you’ll want to visit”,

Besides Sibiu, there are a lot of other beautiful destinations waiting to be discovered, like the town of Cisnădia, a stylish little Saxon town, the traditional Romanian villages from Mărginimea Sibiului and Ţara Oltului, the Saxon villages from up north, mountain and spa resorts and over 50 fortified churches, exceptional architectural monuments – among which the UNESCO heritage churches from Biertan and Valea Viilor.
